Wave is an activist, writer and tantric-shamanic facilitator. They aim to offer deeper tantric practices to those from more diverse backgrounds and works to counter the assimilation and commodification of healing practices that have importance and relevance at this time. They specialise in working to release the trauma blocks in the body, increasing the body's capacity for pleasure, and the circulation of life energy to enter expanded states of consciousness for healing and manifestation.
Wave is the founder of Organising from Elsewhere, which aims to support a paradigmatic shift in the way activists organise for systemic change. This radical project takes a complex systems approach to systemic change by working with social movements to organise from a felt sense of interconnectedness and the development of embodied forms of learning from indigenous communities. The team involved includes Dave Snowden, Wolfgang Wopperer and Extinction Rebellion UK founder Simon Bramwell.
Wave has undertaken more than eight years of extensive tantric training. His teachers have included Alan Lowen (Art Of Being) and Pema (Wild Tantra). He has spent months in Peru learning from Maestro Heberto Garcia in the Loreto region of the Amazon rainforest. He is deeply connected with several plant medicines including Mapacho and Ayahuasca. Wave has years of experience in bodywork and healing modalities from non-Western and Western traditions such as Dearmouring (Gaia Method), Zen Buddhism (Thich Nhat Hanh), CBT, EMDR, and NVC.
